The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) has collaborated with the Thai Board of Commerce to produce the “STYLE Bangkok 2023” event, which will include 500 exhibitors displaying and selling their wares at almost 1,000 booths.
This is the sixth year for the event, which is being staged on a larger scale after a two-year hiatus because to the Covid-19 epidemic. The Queen Sirikit National Convention Center will host the event, which is expected to produce 1.4 billion baht in revenue.
The lifestyle and fashion industry, according to DITP Director-General Phusit Ratanakul Sereroengrit, has played a significant role in boosting the Thai economy because more than 90% of enterprises in this sector are SMEs employing over 1 million employees. He stated that lifestyle and fashion items exports in 2022 increased 16.5% year on year to 450 billion baht.
Thai Chamber of Commerce & Board of Trade Thailand President Sanan Angubolkul believes that the time of STYLE Bangkok 2023 is excellent since Thailand has fully opened itself up to tourism and trade with nations across the world. The event validates Thailand’s ability and potential to host any major event, and it matches with the country’s goal of turning its lifestyle-product industry into a worldwide powerhouse while boosting exports.
The event’s organizers want to use the subject “sustainability+” to promote and create awareness of sustainable marketing, with the ultimate objective of transforming Thailand into an Asian hub for lifestyle products and fashion.
The Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, level G, Halls 1-4, will host STYLE Bangkok 2023 from March 22 to 26. The business negotiating days are scheduled for March 22-24, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., while the public days are scheduled for March 25 and 26, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
