More than 2.2 million families across Thailand received early disbursements of the monthly child support grant, the government announced on 9 July 2025. The payment, totaling over 1.4 billion baht, was issued one day ahead of schedule due to the upcoming Asalha Puja Day, a national holiday observed on 10 July.
The grant, amounting to 600 baht per child, is part of the state’s Child Support Grant program, also known as the Allowance for the Care of Newborn Children. It is designated for families with Thai-national children and is aimed at supporting early childhood development. The Department of Children and Youth oversees the program’s implementation.
Families can verify payment status through the department’s official website or via two mobile applications: “Ngoen Dek” (Money for Children) and “Thang Rath.” These platforms provide updated information on disbursements and application status.
In addition to confirming the July payments, government officials also announced the nationwide reopening of registration. Applications are now accepted based on the applicant’s current place of residence, regardless of household registration details. In Bangkok, registration can be done at district offices; in Pattaya, at City Hall; and in other provinces, through municipal offices or Subdistrict Administrative Organizations. Online registration is also available through the “Ngoen Dek” app.
Applicants who register online must complete identity verification via the ThaiD application, operated by the Department of Provincial Administration. Once verified and approved, eligible families will receive payments retroactively starting from the month in which they registered.
The announcement was made by Deputy Government Spokesperson Sasikarn Watthanachan, who also noted the government’s commitment to expanding access and simplifying the application process for families nationwide.
