The Public Relations Department (PRD) has organized the “Thai Ready APEC Ready” event to showcase Thailand’s readiness to host the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders’ Meeting in November.
The event, presided over by Minister to the Prime Minister’s Office Anucha Nakasai on the morning of September 14, 2022 at Conrad Bangkok Hotel, promotes the concept of “Open. Connect. Balance.” and facilitating trade and investment opportunities between member economies and nations worldwide.
A group of PRD officials and representatives has also been scheduled to participate in the event. The delegation comprises Komsan Saelee, Khemanit Jamikorn, Chef Chumpol Jangprai, Anchilee Scott-Kemmis, Tharina Botes, Titipun Tubthong, Khemupsorn Sirisukha, Aukrit Unahalekhaka and Suppasit Jongcheveevat.
The gathering aimed to support Thailand’s future economic growth through responsible business operations and campaigns to promote food security and the well-being of all APEC citizens.
As APEC 2022 host, Thailand is moving forward with developing environmental management systems under the Bio-Circular-Green economy (BCG) concept. This will be featured through APEC-related presentations and activities hosted between September and November.
