XPeng Thailand Expands Smart Electric Vehicle Network

XPeng Thailand has officially announced the appointment of 12 partners for its smart electric vehicles in the country, marking a significant step in establishing a comprehensive service network.

Under the umbrella of X-Mobility Thailand Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Neo Mobility Asia, and a joint venture between Arun Plus Group, part of PTT Public Company Limited, and Millennium Group Corporation (Asia) Co., Ltd. (MGC-ASIA), XPeng Thailand recently signed agreements with 12 partners. This ceremony took place at The Forestias project, symbolizing XPeng’s commitment to revolutionizing the electric vehicle market in Thailand.

Jason Ding, Director of International Affairs for the Asia-Pacific region at XPeng, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership, highlighting its importance for XPeng’s expansion into Southeast Asia. XPeng, established in 2014 by He Xiaopeng, focuses on integrating cutting-edge technology to reshape future mobility, including the development of advanced electric and flying vehicles. The brand is increasingly popular in Europe and the Middle East, and now, Thailand is set to become a pivotal market in Southeast Asia for XPeng.

In Thailand, XPeng’s lineup includes the G6 Ultra Smart Coupe SUV, inspired by science fiction, featuring an 800-volt battery system and a single-motor rear-wheel drive. The model is available in Standard Range, capable of up to 580 kilometers on a full charge, and Long Range, offering up to 755 kilometers. Both variants boast acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 to 6.9 seconds, with a top speed of 202 km/h. The G6 also supports super-fast charging, reaching 80% battery capacity in under 20 minutes, and features ADAS driving assistance, a Cell Integrated Body battery, and a Die-cast Structure for enhanced strength, achieving a 5-star C-NCAP safety rating.

The first XPeng showroom with a smart service center, located in Hua Mak, is expected to open in the third quarter of 2024. This facility will feature an ‘Experience Room’ where customers can learn about the vehicle’s technology and functionality, ensuring safe and efficient use. The service center will be equipped with state-of-the-art tools and comprehensive spare parts management, alongside a standardized paint and body repair center, offering full-spectrum services for XPeng’s electric vehicles.

XPeng Thailand is also in the process of selecting additional partners in key areas such as Rayong, Phetchaburi-Hua Hin, Songkhla-Hat Yai, Surat Thani, Phuket, and significant economic zones in Bangkok and its vicinity to ensure robust after-sales support for XPeng owners.
